Mission Statement

With over 100 members from industry and science Rail.S belongs to the largest railway technology clusters in Germany. Our mission is to strengthen the railway industry and, in particular, the medium sized railway suppliers. Whether cooperation projects, sales promotion or access to international markets – as an exchange and networking platform, Rail.S always connects you with the right partners.

The Rail.S e. V.

• Is a highly visible, cohesive contact for business, science and politics in and for Saxony, Germany and beyond
• Coordinates and represents the interests of the members of the association towards the public, politics and the economy
• Cooperates with supra-regional and international railroad clusters primarily with the purpose of market development, improvement of access to EU funds as well as joint project processing
• Assists in acquisition, business initiation and in the development of new markets for the members
• Supports the cooperation among member companies
• Provides professional advice and expert opinions on transport solutions or their components in the area of activity of the association
• Is a driver of innovation development, primarily through:
  • Organization and realization of scientific events, congresses, symposia, workshops in the field of activity of the association
  • Initiation of innovation projects, also intersectoral
  • Promotion of research and technology transfer, education and training as well as networking between industry and science
  • Promotion of young scientists in the field of activity of the association by supporting student research projects, engineering and diploma theses as well as research topics
